Join Mowgli, Baloo and the jungle crew at the next Sorauren Park Outdoor Movie, when we screen The Jungle Book 2016 live action edition, rated PG.
The film starts at 8:30 p.m. on the Sorauren Town Square. Our concession stand will have fresh-popped popcorn, drinks and Sorauren Park t-shirts for sale. All proceeds support the non-profit Friends of Sorauren Park.
And bring your smartphone to play Sorauren Screen Play, the fun new outdoor quiz game inspired by the indoor version at a popular cinema near you. Beat the clock and answer correctly to win Sorauren Park swag.
Thanks again to our sponsors (and your donations) for making the free outdoor movie series possible.
The second outdoor movie of the season features the swashbuckling raccoon and other heroes (human, couple of aliens, a wonderful tree-being) from the 2014 summer hit, Guardians of the Galaxy.
If you loved it the first time, you’ll love it more with friends at the park. If you haven’t seen it, now’s your chance. If you’re unsure about sci-fi comic book adventures, this is the one to check out. Great soundtrack. Funny. PG.
The movie plays on the big screen at the Sorauren Town Square on Saturday, July 22 starting at 9:00. It’s free, with popcorn and park t-shirts for sale, and donations always accepted.
Thanks again to our sponsors for making the Sorauren Outdoor Movie season possible.
Chercher le vache… no longer. Monty Python and the Holy Grail will be the first movie of the Sorauren Park Outdoor Movie series, following the (new) tradition of a cult classic for the year’s first film.
The movie starts at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24 at the Sorauren Town Square. Come early to claim a spot and get your popcorn and Friends of Sorauren Park t-shirt.
Big thanks to our sponsors.
Dig out those camping pads, picnic blankets and soccer chairs… the first Sorauren Park Outdoor Movie for 2017 lights up the screen on Saturday, June 24 at 9:30 p.m.
(Come a little early to get a good spot and popcorn.)
We’re just confirming the movie licence so can’t announce the title yet, but plan is for a cult classic. All outdoor movies are rated PG. Watch this website, subscribe to our newsletter or follow SoraurenPark on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates.
The movie will be shown on the park’s Town Square. Donations accepted to support the non-profit activities and programming provided by the Friends of Sorauren Park.
Sorauren Park Outdoor Movies are also generously supported by our sponsors. Thank you!
Want to “sign our petition” for the new community centre at Sorauren Park? Want updates on the Outdoor Movie series? Want to get involved in community life?
Visit the Friends of Sorauren Park booth at the Roncesvalles Polish Festival this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17-18. Our volunteers will be set up on Roncesvalles near Grenadier Avenue, between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.
At the booth, you can get your keychain to add to our special “Unlock the Community Centre” awareness campaign for the new Wabash Community Centre adjacent to the park. We’re creating a visual petition with thousands of keychains affixed to the fence outside the old linseed oil mill, the site for the new community centre. Add your family name this weekend!
At the booth, you can also:
- get details on the Sept. 24 Outdoor Movie screening of E.T.
- get details on this year’s Pumpkin Parade and Pumpkin Sale
- sign up for Sorauren Park News
- learn how to get involved in community life by joining the non-profit Friends of Sorauren Park
Plus, you’ll enjoy everything the Polish Festival has to offer! Roncesvalles Avenue will be closed throughout the weekend and taken over by the festival featuring food, music, merchants, displays and fun activities.
