PHASE 2 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

DONATE NOW

We’ve built the room… now let’s furnish it!

The opening of the new Sorauren Park Town Square on July 7, 2014, marked the end of Phase 1 fundraising.

Concept design. Final oven design to be determined.

Now you can donate (and receive a tax receipt) to help furnish the space with a bake oven, extended pathways, bike posts, and a major architectural feature: the trellis.

The trellis will serve as an iconic gateway to the park and provide practical functions such as mounting for an outdoor movie screen and donor wall, lighting, shade, and cool things we haven’t imagined yet. It will echo the industrial architecture of the street still seen on the skeletal rail car shed on the south side of the old linseed oil factory (future community centre site).

Donate online through the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation to receive a charitable tax receipt. (You can also mail cheques to the Foundation using the downloadable donation form.)

Every dollar helps leverage funding from other sources! All donors of $100 or more will be recognized on the permanent donor wall to be erected on the trellis.

BUY A BENCH SOLD OUT!

You, your family, your street, your company or your organization can buy a bench for the Town Square. Your $1,900 donation includes a City-approved bench, installation, and a plaque with words you choose. For information, contact us before making a donation.
