The City’s Environment Day that’s usually in April on Wabash Avenue by Sorauren Park is moving to July 27, 10 am – 2 pm, this year.
Environment Day is your chance to pick up compost, new green and blue bins and environmental information from the City. You can also drop off hazardous household waste, old electronics, old arts and crafts supplies and old clothing.
Date changes are due to the province cutting the size of City Council almost in half. In the old ward system, every ward got one Environment Day. With wards now almost double the size of the old wards, efforts were made to have two environment days in each new ward, leading to schedule changes.
The city-wide schedule is on the City’s website.
