Annual Sorauren Pumpkin Sale

Annual Sorauren Pumpkin Sale

Get your Halloween and Pumpkin Parade pumpkins at the annual Pumpkin Sale Oct. 25, and support Phase 2 of the Sorauren Town Square! All proceeds from the annual pumpkin sale get put back into the park through the non-profit Wabash Building Society. This is the seventh year for the sale, and almost $15,000 has been raised over the years to equip the Fieldhouse with kitchen appliances and help build the new Town Square. This year’s proceeds will be used for new benches and other furnishings for the Square as part of Phase 2 fundraising. The Pumpkin Sale starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday Oct. 25. Join us also for hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee and face painting! Wabash Building Society t-shirts in black with white lettering and distinctive chimney logoNEW THIS YEAR: Also get your limited-edition Wabash Building Society cool cotton T in black with the distinctive white logo. Both men’s and women’s available. Only $25 each, and all proceeds to the WBS in support of the Sorauren Park Town Square campaign. Big thanks to Axis Gear on Dundas St. West for donating the t-shirts. Pumpkin Sale pumpkins are generously donated by Chander Chaddah, broker, Sutton Group Associates. Thanks again Chander and volunteers! And, of course, many of those pumpkins will make a return trip to the park for the annual Sorauren Pumpkin Parade on Nov. 1! (Here’s a good story about the Pumpkin Parade and the park courtesy U.K professor Jesper Eriksen on the Gehl Architects blog, Copenhagen.)
